The Fechterring Nuernberg sends a warm welcome to all of you attending this exciting event in the city of Nuernberg.
As your local organizers, we are honored to serve this event in the name of the European Fencing Confederation and the Deutscher Fechter-Bund e.V..
In expectance of our tournament on November 22-23, we are hosting more than 400 athletes from 32 Nations all over the world.
To make this a successful and enjoyable event for all of us, we wish to provide some preliminary information that should help you to guide your arrival, organization and orientation during this weekend.

Some specific details however are mandatory to get the event organized in a smooth and peaceful way. Please read the following instructions carefully!
The event is split in two different, separate venues!
The competitions are held in:
female (team): November 22 (HSG) female (individual): November 23 (BBZ)
male (individual): November 22 (BBZ) male (team): November 23 (HSG)
The locations are:
BBZ: Berufs-Bildungs-Zentrum (address: Berliner Platz 26, 90489 Nürnberg.
HSG: Hans-Sachs-Gymnasium (address: Löbleinstrasse 10. 90409 Nürnberg.
When to arrive? How to register?
The tournament will officially start on Saturday, Nov 22 at 8.30 am.
The main registration hours and equipment check are on Friday, Nov 21 between 3:00 – 9:30 pm and on Nov 22 starting from 7:00 am.
THE REGISTRATION AND THE EQUIPMENT CHECK WILL BE POSSIBLE ONLY AT BBZ!
THE IS OF UTMOST IMPOSTANCE; ESPECIALLY TO THE TEAM COMPETITIONS.
Registration fees (25.00 Euro per individual; 75.00 Euro per team) can be paid either in cash or electronically with debit or credit cards (plus 3% fee).
Please be in time, motivated and patient (especially at main registration hours)!
How to get there?
The venue of BBZ is centrally located and well connected. The ‘Schoppershof’ station on underground lines U2 and U21 is located directly in front of the hall. Both underground lines run directly from the city center stops “Plärrer”, “Opernhaus” and “Hauptbahnhof” via “Schoppershof” towards the “Flughafen Nürnberg” (U2) and “Herrenhütte” (U21).
The venue of HSG is right next to U3 station “Maxfeld”. U-Bahn line U3 is connected with U2/U21 lines via station “Rathenauplatz”.
Tickets for public transport are available through VGN. Price category A applies in the Nuremberg/Fürth/Stein area. If there are several of you and you want to use the ticket several times over the weekend, we recommend the “Tages-Ticket-Plus”. Holders of the Deutschland-Ticket can use public transport free of charge.
We do not recommend travelling by car, as parking spaces are very limited in the surrounding area. The nearest parking space is in the Welser Quartier underground car park, approx. 600 m away from BBZ.
Paid car parking can also be found at the “Herrnhütte” U-Bahn station. From there, you can take the U2/U21 U-Bahn for the last part of your journey.
The area around HSG does not offer car parking space!
You can alternatively order a taxi via Taxi Nürnberg (+49 911 19410) or any other service provider (UBER, Bolt, etc.).
